Blog this!

So, it's been a little over a month and things are going very good. I'm in the process of buying a new expensive house, but it is damn cool! I'm shopping for the 50+ inch TV and a fridge. Some things just aren't included in the purchase agreement. I've met so many people that I can't remember shit! I'm enrolling in the CISCO course here for $5 per credit. After the CISCO thing, I'm going to enroll in the Masters program for Information Technology management. I'll be about 43 years old when this is all done, then I'm going to try for one of those kush executive jobs. Ha! Anyway, I'm currently designing Enterprise Forest Trusts to present to Boise State's OIT group. Seems they are not as "up-to-speed" as I had envisioned. Oh well, gives me a better opportunity to be the king SHIT! C-ya later.

This job rocks!

Since I've been here, I've installed Webroot Spysweeper Enterprise, Configured a new online helpdesk software package (thanks CSI), Configured Windows Media Server, Designed 1 new secure website, purchased and installed 2 Thawte certificates, setup Certificate services for the domain and learned the newest Ghost 7.5 Enterprise Console. I have my own private office with a kick-ass MPC workstation and (2) 19" monitors.

Todd called and asked about the PIZZA and LAN party, seems my syllabus doesn't reflect CSI's vision of LEARNING. Can you really beat a dead horse until it's deader?

See ya'll Wednesday night for more fun 'n' games!

On to bigger and better things!!!

MCSE got me a new and better paying job at Boise State University. Start on Feb 28, 2005.
CSI was good at using my skills, but sucks at rewarding your accomplishments!

Here's to Marcus Downing http://marcusdowning.com , my apprentice who is quickly making me realize I had better get my ass in gear or he'll pass me up!
